Welcome to the home of Vintage Stuff. As the name implies we are not an adolescent boy band and neither is our music of that flavour. We all hail from a time when live music was plentiful and still belonged to the bands who made it, so if you are looking to listen to a record you are probably in the wrong place, unless your collection is exclusively live music.

The reason we play is because we enjoy it and we want you to enjoy the experience too. Music is one of the few things that can recreate a time or place in your mind complete with the emotions and thoughts that were there so let us transport you to a time when music was live and there to be enjoyed.

I do not know where this saying came from, so if it’s yours I’m sorry, but it is true and could easily be our motto: –

You don’t stop playing because you are old

You get old because you stop playing

As you can see from our set list unless we are going to do an all day gig there are far more songs than will fit into an evening’s gig (and the list keeps growing) so you will probably need to see us a few times to hear them all, we do try to vary them to suit the occasion/gig but we are open to requests so if you have a favourite and we know it don’t be shy and we will try to fit it in for you.

Which numbers we play on a given night depends on how we feel and what you want and even then they may not always sound the same. If you look at the gear page you will see the range of equipment we have accumulated between us, so you may get crystal clear Fender’s and Rickenbacker’s or the scream and grind of Les Pauls and Boogies, like I said its Live! with a capital “L”.

The name Vintage Stuff actually came from a book on wine that Ron found, we would like to think that we are maturing nicely too! (in a musical if not a physical way)

With a bit of luck you will have been listening to one of the tracks on our CD hope you liked it, the CD will be available at gigs so look at the Gigs page which is probably the most up to date page on the site(the gigs just keep coming so we must be getting something right), see when we are near you, or if you are brave travel a bit and we’ll do our best to give you a good nights live music to remember. Several of the numbers on our Set List page are now available as YouTube video clips just click on the Blue tracks and we will be adding more in the future.
